How To Build Links 6 Methods That Work

Submitted by: Markpx Sherris

In this article I’m going to talk about all the ways you can get back links, and why you should definitely use these different ways because I personally use them on my own website, and they work, plain and simple!

As I write this I’m not sure how many methods there actually will be however make sure you take note and even if you don’t use all of them I’m confident that there will be one method that works for you!

Blog Commenting

It sounds spammy to some people but blog commenting is actually a great way to get easy back links and often they can hold a high page rank value, sometimes I’ll even come across blogs that have a high page rank value yet hardly any comments at all which means I can grab an easy comment and also some good link juice towards my own website!

All you have to do here is place your anchor text in the “name” section and then of course your website in the “website” section, alternatively you can put your website in the actual comment itself but this method can be risky and often looks spammy so generally I wouldn’t recommend it.

The key here is not to “spam” the comment section but instead actually comment properly, make sure you read the article so you know what it is all about and make a genuine comment, you’ll get a good back link and if you enjoyed the article then it’s an added bonus!

Forums

There are many forums out there, literally there’s far too many to count which means you can get loads of back links really easily, all you have to do is create an account and add your link to your signature, next thing just start replying to a few threads and before you know it you’ll have plenty of links!

All of these links can be branded with whatever anchor text you like as you have full control here, often this is a great way to build some links if you already interact on a forum a lot but haven’t bothered to utilise it for back links. If you use a forum a lot already then it won’t even feel like you are “link building” because you’re not really, you’re just doing what you normally do anyway and getting links!

Article Directories

Article Directories are of course another good way to get links, most people know this! All you need to do is write articles and send them out to the top directories!

Sure you can write any old article, but the trick here is to write a really good article if you can, then you are more likely to get that article picked up by other publishers, if you manage to write an exceptional article you could have literally 100’s of back links just from that one article!

Articles / Blogging

This is similar to the method above apart from this time you’ll be placing the article on your own website, e.g you’ll be blogging! – Blogging is a great way to build links because if you can create really great content and get it seen by people you’ll get naturally linked to!

Of course it’s hard to tell what type of content is going to work really well but if you really try and put together a great article and get it seen by people then naturally people will link to you!

Rss Aggregators

Once you’ve written your new article on your blog you should submit your rss feed to top rss aggregators if you haven’t already done so, this is a good way for your article to get picked up by other publishers! – Make sure you’ve linked back to your home page (if that is the site you want to rank for) and then if you’re article gets picked up and published all over the web you’ll potentially receive loads of back links!

This is why it’s important to create quality content, content that people actually want to link to and people want to use on their own sites! As long as they are linking to you and don’t try and pass it off as their own work then it’s a job well done!

Web 2.0

Web 2.0 refers to websites such as Squidoo, Hub Pages, Live Journal, Blogspot etc etc.

There are loads of different ones, just Google web2.0 or free blogs for example.

These are another great place to place articles on because these sites are highly respected by Google! – Although the article that you actually place your own website on won’t have a high page rank / authority the domain authority will be massively respected by Google and other search engines.

Just take wordpress for example, their domain authority (using Mozbar) is 89! – That is exceptionally high therefore by placing articles on these sites we can obtain decent back links!

Conclusion

Hopefully I’ve provided you with a nice range of link building tips, these methods work and I use them every day! – Building links is not rocket science, you just need to do what I’ve told you, sure there are certain technical things that are useful to know, but when you are just starting out you don’t NEED to know the technical things, get started today and before you know it you could have your website ranking higher!
