Dogs should only be rewarded when they deserve it and not just because they are giving you a cute puppy face. It is possible to train your dog to recognize its name by crouching down and calling its name and then rewarding him or her when they respond. You should try to repeat this as much as possible until your dog comes when you call its’ name.
